Realme is all set to launch its latest V-series smartphones, the Realme V50 and V50s, in China on December 10, 2023. The news was confirmed by a recent listing on Chinese telecom giant China Telecom’s website. The listing also revealed the key specifications and pricing of both devices.
Design and Display:
Both the Realme V50 and V50s will share the same design language, featuring a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a single punch-hole for the front camera. The display is expected to offer a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a peak brightness of 480 nits.

Performance and Camera:
Under the hood, the Realme V50 and V50s will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which is a step up from the MediaTek Dimensity 6000 used in the previous V-series models. This new chipset promises better performance and improved 5G connectivity.
In terms of camera, both smartphones will boast a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The purpose of the secondary sensor is not yet clear, but it could be a depth sensor or a macro lens. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera housed within the punch-hole cutout.
Keeping the lights on will be a 5,000mAh battery, which should offer long-lasting battery life. Both phones will come out of the box running Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 on top.
Price and Availability:
The Realme V50 is expected to start at RMB 1,199 (approximately Rs 14,000) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The V50s will be a slightly more affordable option, starting at RMB 1,099 (approximately Rs 12,800) for the same configuration.
Both smartphones will be available for purchase in China on December 10th. There is no official word on their global launch yet,
